Hi,

I have a rather unusual use of the guestbook and that is as a prayerwall on a church site. People can ask for prayer through the guestbook module and their request is sent to a team of "prayer people". Ideally I would like to give them the choice to fill in their email address or not. If they want to be contacted they can fill it in, if they want to stay anonymous they can as well. Unfortunately the system now does not give me that choice. If the email is shown, it becomes mandatory. Any chance for me to change that somewhere, even in a registry file or something?

Looking forward to suggestions to solve this

regards

Andries,

You can remove the RequiredFieldValidator that is on the .ascx for that specific field. This will no longer make it required.
