This control is great! It saved me the time of coding out my own. One problem I’m battling is changing the alternating row color. When I view the source code generated by the control I see:

style="background-color:#eeeeee;"

The default color seems to clash with my site because I require a white color font. I also do not see that the background color for the alternating row style is using the CSS element from the DNN style sheet. If anyone could help me with this, i would greatly appreciate it.

Is it possible to change this background color? and if it is, where would i change it?

I believe that this will require a modification to the module, it was created before templated systems were as popular and doesn't have as much flexibility as some other modules.

Otherwise, you might be able to change it via the localization templates.

Sorry for the double post, but I think that might be a good lead, with the localization. It appears that styles are kept in the ViewGuestbook resource. Anyone who needs to change this can do it by editing the background-color in the value column for the "AlternatingItemTemplate.Text" element.

Thanks, I'm on vacation so I couldn't look at it in too much detail.

The source package is freely available as well as a download from this site.
