Hi

I would very much like to use your VS templates, however I cannot run VS as administrator ( I am working for a large company - 18000 staff - and the IT admins will not let me run VS as admin). So, is there any other way I can use your templates?

Thanks

Sadly that is a limitation in Visual Studio with regards to the Web Application project templates I believe.

You MIGHT be able to modify the template to set it to not use IIS. It is a "UseIIS" option in the .csproj that is included. However, I am not sure if that will actually do anything.

Hi Mitchel

Thanks for the quick response.

I had a look at the .vsi file, but it appears to be a binary file. Is the source file(s) available for this?

Thanks
Anton

Anton,

You can simply rename the .vsi to be a .zip, then you can access the files inside.

If you want I can try to make the modification and send it off to you so you can try it out. Just drop me an e-mail at msellers@iowacomputergurus.com and let me know which of the templates you want to try first, and I'll make the change.
